We are a family run sheep and beef farm in Cheshire, on the edge of the Peak District hosting seasonal events throughout the year. We, the Gilman family have been farming here for over 90 years, and are truly passionate about showcasing British farming and where our food comes from.
Sian Malpass13 November 2023We’d never been pumpkin picking before and as a family of 5 it can always be very costly! We were very impressed with the reasonably priced entry, and we had the best time! There was so much to do, for children of all ages! Everything was very well thought of, we couldn’t fault anything, all of the staff were so lovely and accommodating, the food and drinks were lovely, and we came away with three very happy and muddy children who had a wonderful time. Thank you so much, we will most definitely be back again!

Nina Vearnals30 October 2023Lovely farm, small and compact so perfect for smaller kids. Staff were all so lovely, pumpkins were average price for places like this. The sheepdog demonstrations were brill. A bit muddy, which is obviously to be expected. We'll definitely come back next year!

Cerys Ferguson26 October 2023Fantastic farm. We went pumpkin picking last weekend and had a fantastic time. There are some farm animals that you can see, a food hut to buy drinks and food from, and a big field with ride on tractors in which my children LOVED. The farmer did a sheep herding demonstration and the children were allowed to get involved. A really lovely family run, working farm that we will definitely be visiting again

We have lots of different breeds of sheep on the farm including North Country mules, texels, zwartbles and herdwicks and Hebrideans for sheepdog training. We also have a suckler beef herd of Hereford cows. As well as the sheep and cows, we also have pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, bees! And lots of sheepdogs.

Over the last 3 years we have raised money for local charities through our events. As of December 2023 we have raised £19,122.32 in total which has been split between East Cheshire Hospice, The Christie Charity, the Farming Community Network (FCN) and Bosley Church through hosting our events.
